Updates from Whirlow

Programme amendments - latest

In response to the latest news about Coronavirus, Whirlow Spirituality Centre is cancelling its programme of events - at least until the end of April. This includes the weekly Reflective Communion and Space to Be.

Those who have paid for tickets to events during this period will in due course receive an email in relation to the specific event. It will invite you to email events@whirlowspiritualitycentre to request a refund.

For as long as remains responsible and possible, the Chapel of the Holy Spirit will be open at set times for personal, quiet reflection. These will be shared on our website each week and on social media. The gardens continue to be available as a place of sanctuary for those who wish to find it.

* On Wednesday March 18th, Thursday March 19th and Friday March 20th, the Chapel is likely to be open between 10am and 12 noon *

As a priority and overriding any information from the Centre, those who choose to come to Whirlow should follow the latest government advice. As a minimum precaution, always wash hands on entering and leaving the building. The office team will ensure surfaces and door handles are wiped down on a daily basis.

The library and refreshments / kitchen facilities will not be available unless specifically stated otherwise.

Chaplain Joy Adams said:

“Although we cannot easily be together at this time, prayers and concern reach out across and amongst our extended community. A prayer station will be created in the chapel. We plan to find ways of sharing ideas for spiritual sustenance.”

Do get in touch with questions, particular areas of concern to share (chaplain@whirlowspiritualitycentre.org) or other comments.

Thank you!
